I finished the navy striped socks (photo later, once they’re out of the wash). Then for some reason I cast on 3 more pairs.
The first were the Froot Loops, which I started on wooden needles so I could knit them on the plane to England.
The second were these Ringwood pattern socks from Nancy Bush’s “Knitting Vintage Socks”:
And then I realised that both of those needed a pattern of sorts, which makes them too hard for knitting on my commute, so I cast on these basic ribbed socks for brainless/paperless knitting:
Three pairs at once is kind of ludicrous, isn’t it?
Meanwhile, I’ve been knitting dishcloths:
These violent colours were what made me think I should investigate organic cotton (see previous post). Every so often I think I should try violently bright and/or wildly variegated yarns, since they’re so popular, and it almost always turns out badly. (I guess I’d jump off a bridge if everyone else did, too.) Once I’ve finished off this green yarn, I’m not buying any more bright dishcloth cotton. Natural shades only.
